Team Not Tired
Team Not Tired is a podcast and community for busy Christian women who are ready to live their lives as ministry—without losing themselves in the process. Here, burnout is not a badge of honor. Together, we discover a better way: one fueled by grace, purpose, and sustainable rhythms that honor God and who He’s called us to be.

Sometimes you just need to say the quiet part out loud.
In this bonus episode of Team Not Tired, Ashley and Shareen are setting a one-minute timer and rallying around a few things they are officially tired of.
It’s light, honest, a little unhinged, and ends with the kind of encouragement every mission-minded woman needs.
Come for the rants. Stay for the rally.
And I'm tired of it. Bring back the romantic comedies.
SPEAKER_01Hey friends, welcome to Team Not Tired. I'm Ashley Earwood. And I'm Shireen Crawford, and today's episode is a little different. This is what we're gonna call a team rally.
SPEAKER_02Every once in a while, you just need to say out loud the things that you're tired of. And so today, Shireen and I are gonna do that, and we're doing it with a one-minute clock.
SPEAKER_01Ashley and I are gonna take turns kind of venting about something we're tired of. We get one minute on the clock, no interruptions, three rounds each. And if you're listening and thinking, yes, someone finally said it out loud. This is the rally. This is a bonus episode, and we are so excited to just kind of jump right in. So, Ashley, you've got one minute on the clock, uninterrupted, which is amazing, to tell me something that you are tired of. Sharene.
SPEAKER_02I am so tired of rom-coms with no com. There are no more romantic comedies in the theaters anymore. And any movie, I mean, I grew up on like, right? Mm-hmm. Ten Things I Hate About You and Sleepless in Seattle, and you know, what's the Kate Hudson, Matthew McConaughey one with the yellow dress? How to lose the guy. Yes, like all of those classic 90s, early 2000s. Wedding planners. Yes, like all the romantic comedies. And now it's either 30 seconds. Oh, it's either like romance with raunch, like it's raunchy humor, or the whole bent on the romance is cheering on somebody who's cheating. Like the whole the storylines are just trying to get us to cheer on somebody, to leave somebody else. And I'm tired of it. Bring back the romantic comedies. And you did it well done.
SPEAKER_01You're correct. I miss the era of rom coms that were just like, oh, and they always had a happy ending. Just like innocent, feel good.
SPEAKER_02You leave the theater happy. Yeah. They're not making them anymore.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, trash.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01Okay, my. Your turn. Okay. Let's go. All right. So one thing that I am incredibly tired of, and I'm a pe I'm a petite girl. Like I'm five foot one barely, but in my mind, I'm like six foot something, right? But today's fashion. Can I talk about today's fashion for a second? Okay. Again, petite girly here. I pull out a shirt and it's a crop top. Like every shirt is a crop top. And for me, being a petite girly, like it doesn't take much fabric to cover this torso of mine. But every t-shirt is a crop top. I'm spending like $30, $60 and I'm like, I want the other half of my shirt. I want the other. I am not some of those girly pops that can just like show a little bit of their mid drift because they're cute and adorable. I am close to 40, okay? I'm tired of the crop top, which is not even a they're calling it t-shirts. I'm like, well, I want the other half of my top. And that's one thing I'm so tired of.
SPEAKER_02I'm with you. I mean, if we're gonna pay money for a shirt, let's let's get all of the fabric.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Or make it half off.
SPEAKER_01The crop tops should be cheaper then, right? I agree. I agree. All right, back to you. What are you gonna tell me what you're tired of?
SPEAKER_02Okay, friend, I am tired, and this is gonna make me sound like an old lady. I'm fully aware of it, but I'm tired of how quickly the Gen Z slang changes. I basically have three teenagers in my home, and I cannot keep up. A, there's so much stinking slang that these kids use that, I mean, they're just using usual like normal words improperly. Yeah, I'm like, that's not what that word means. Well, it is now, mom. Like, I cannot keep up. Every I feel like every week it's something else. And I'm like, well, what is that? What does that mean? Why are you saying that? Do we not say this anymore? I can't keep up. It's moving too quickly, it's changing too rapidly. And I'm fully aware that this makes me sound like an old lady, but I'm tired of it. And we just like pick some slang and stick with it.
SPEAKER_01Fair. I think so too, because sometimes my kids will say something and they're we're in the tween. We're entering into our tween era here, and I'm like, what? Or even some of my employees that are Gen Z, I'm like, huh? So strange. I can't keep up either. Yeah. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_02I'm not even, I'm like, I'm thinking of all the things in my head right now, and I was gonna say them out loud and reference them. But by the time you listen to this, it's gonna be outdated, and you're gonna be like, Ash, you're so not out of the loop.
SPEAKER_01Me too.
SPEAKER_02We're halfway through. This is really healing. I'm feeling a lot better. I love getting this off my chest. I'm here for you. I'm so curious with our listeners, like what they would add to our list. Oh, please tell us.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. If you want to put, you know, this is probably out of order, but just throw, throw a comment, give us a review, let us know what you're tired of. I would love to hear. I want to I want to hear your rants. Okay, Shireen, what do you have next? Okay, so what I am tired of is eye cream. I'm a I'm a skin girl to its fullest. Yeah. I do a lot of research. So so does some others for me. AK my husband. Because he's super supportive. But I am tired of an eye cream.
SPEAKER_02Okay, we're gonna circle back to that. I'm sorry. I know I know I'm taking your minute, but we're gonna circle back to that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, okay. But I am tired of an eye cream not doing the heavy lifting it needs to, okay? These bags, these dark circles, they need to be rejuvenated as soon as I hit that cream on my under lids. Because let's be real, I need it, and it's a heavy lift. I get it, I understand. But I have yet, and it doesn't matter how much money you spend on an eye cream because none of them work. So if the root if you are listening to this and you have a solid eye cream, please let me know because I am so tired of looking tired.
SPEAKER_02Okay. That's great. We are, we're tired of looking tired. Yeah. And we may feel great inside, but our face doesn't show it. It's true. Help a girl out, friends. Put some puts put your go-to eye cream in the comments for Shereen.
SPEAKER_01We'll do a review in a later episode. I would love that. And yes, my husband does help a girl out. So we can remote. Do we have him on research duty? On most things, yes. Because Blake is such a good Googler. I don't even like he can find Does he have that on his resume? I he should skills. Oh, he should, because I feel like he's so good at a lot of things, and one of them is research. And I get so frustrated sometimes, whereas he like he scours the internet for me, and he's just super supportive in that. So, yes, my husband does help help a girl out.
SPEAKER_02He's such a king. For our listeners that don't know, we call we kindly call him on Team Not Tired Producer Blake, because he's actually here in the room with us during every episode, and he's the one that spends the the hard hours listening to us over and over again and editing all of our episodes. So shout out to producer Blake, aka Expert Googler. Googler, yes.
SPEAKER_01He's the expert Googler. All right, Ashley. So you are gonna bring us home with what you are tired of. Are you ready to bring us home?
SPEAKER_02I'm ready. Okay. Because I'm gonna, I'm gonna turn the tables now and get a little serious. Ooh, okay. But this is for real. For real. Because as a pastor, as a as a church leader, I cannot tell you how much this is my biggest pet peeve. I'm so tired, Sharine, of watching and listening to women who are not willing to walk in their gifts and walk in their callings and are letting fear and insecurity and comparison keep them from all that God has for them. Yeah. I have so many conversations with women and a lot of older women who who don't see what I see in them. And I hate it. I am so tired of it. Yeah. I'm so tired of women limiting themselves from what God's called them to do, what he's already put in their lives, gifted them to do, and they're sitting on the sidelines. And I just want to shake some of them sometimes and go, get in the game. Like God has more for you. I'm so tired of it.
SPEAKER_01I mean, yes, girl, stop living small. Start living in your in your purpose and passion that God has for you. And and yeah, I'm tired of it. Get in the game, girl. Yep. Let's go. Get in the game.
SPEAKER_02This is your rally.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And this has been today's team rally. We thought that it would be fun on the months that we have a fifth Tuesday to share some things that we are tired of. And so if you nodded your head at even one of those today, congratulations. You're part of the team. You're part of the team.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah, I think it's one of those things where one of the things we're not tired of is building community of women who are running their race at a sustainable pace. And so I don't know about you, but I've had a ton of fun. I think just like you said, saying it out loud. Get it off my chest.
SPEAKER_02Yep. And if today's episode made you laugh, or maybe you were in your car yelling, same, would you share it with a friend who's probably tired of some things too?
SPEAKER_01Welcome to the team, guys.
SPEAKER_00Hey team. I hope you are having a great summer. Ashley's spending some time with her family, and so am I. But this is a great time to listen to your favorite episode or catch up on some episodes. We love that you're part of the team, and we can't wait to join you back in August with some new episodes!
